If the quantity, weight and/or dimensions of your baggage exceed the free baggage allowance on the plane, then it must be booked and paid additionally:

• On the airline's website when buying a ticket
• At the check-in desk at the airport before departure

The rates for carrying excess baggage when booking on the website and at the airport may differ.

The possibility of processing such baggage at the departure airport depends on the technical capabilities of the airline.

Based on the technologies of the departure airport, excess/oversized/heavy luggage can be processed for transportation at a separate check-in desk.

Excess, oversized or heavy baggage is accepted for carriage only if there is a free carrying capacity on the aircraft and provided that the passenger pays for the carriage of such baggage, except in cases when the carriage of such baggage was agreed with the carrier and paid for when booking, as well as cases of carriage of wheelchairs and other auxiliary movement devices used by the passenger from the number of disabled and other persons with disabilities vital activity. The passenger is obliged to inform the carrier or his agent in advance about the estimated weight and number of pieces of baggage in excess of the established free baggage allowance, while booking such baggage is mandatory.

If a passenger has presented more baggage for carriage than was previously agreed with the carrier and paid for, then such an amount of baggage can be accepted for carriage only if there is a free carrying capacity on the aircraft and its payment by the passenger.

Armenian Airlines LLC has the right to restrict the carriage or refuse to carry the passenger's baggage, the weight of which exceeds the free baggage allowance established by the carrier, if such carriage has not been previously agreed with the carrier.

If at the point of departure the passenger has presented baggage for carriage by weight and number of seats less than was previously booked and paid for, the difference in payment between the declared and the actual weight of excess baggage is subject to refund in accordance with these Rules.

A passenger en route along the transportation route has the right to reduce or, with the consent of the carrier, increase the weight and number of pieces of baggage carried.

If the passenger increases the weight and/or the number of pieces of baggage carried en route, he is obliged to pay the cost of transporting baggage exceeding the established free baggage allowance for previously paid transportation. If the passenger reduces the weight and/or the number of pieces of baggage carried on the way, no recalculations are made for the previously made payment for baggage by the carrier.

Oversized baggage is accepted for carriage provided that the dimensions of the loading hatches and baggage and cargo compartments of the aircraft allow its loading (unloading) to (from) the aircraft and placement on board the aircraft. This baggage must have handles for carrying and devices for attaching it when moving to the aircraft, from the aircraft and on board the aircraft.

If it is necessary to transport excess and (or) oversized baggage by aircraft of several carriers, the carrier issuing transportation documents for this baggage must obtain the consent of these carriers for such transportation.

Transportation of oversized baggage, heavy baggage, service dogs, is paid based on its (their) actual weight, dimensions and number of seats at baggage rates established by the carrier, regardless of other passenger items carried as checked baggage, with the exception of the guide dog following the passenger, deprived of vision, wheelchairs, crutches, canes, walkers, rollators, used by a passenger from among the disabled and other persons with disabilities, as well as a baby carriage used by a passenger, having dimensions that do not allow it (them) to be safely placed in the cabin of the aircraft on a shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat in front of the standing passenger seat, and transported without charge additional fee.

Payment for transportation of excess, oversized, heavy baggage it is issued with a receipt for payment of excess baggage, an order for various fees or EMD.

Excess baggage is considered to be the passenger's belongings, the weight of which exceeds the established the carrier's free baggage allowance.

If the passenger has presented a smaller amount of baggage for carriage at the point of departure, what was pre-booked and paid for, the difference in payment between the stated and the actual mass will be returned.

During the connecting/transfer flight, the passenger has the right to reduce or with the consent of the carrier to increase the weight and number of pieces of transported baggage.

• In case of an increase in the weight and/or number of pieces of luggage, the passenger is obliged to pay the cost of transporting additional baggage
• In case of a decrease in the weight of the transported baggage, no recalculations for earlier the carrier does not make any payment for the baggage

• Oversized baggage is considered to be the passenger's belongings, regardless of their name and purpose, the dimensions of which in packed form exceed 203 cm in the sum of three dimensions
• Heavy baggage is considered to be the passenger's belongings, regardless of their name and purpose, the weight of which is more than 30 kg, but not more than 50 kg. Baggage of a larger weight is processed and transported as cargo

Oversized baggage is accepted for transportation provided that the dimensions of the loading hatches and the baggage and cargo compartments of the aircraft allow its loading / unloading to/from the aircraft and accommodation on board the aircraft.

This baggage must have carrying handles and devices for securing it when moving to/from and on board the aircraft.

The norm of free transportation does not apply to oversized/heavy baggage, and its transportation is paid according to the established tariffs.

Combining free baggage allowance up to 1 piece 30 kg and 203 cm

1. It is used to combine the baggage of passengers who have been issued according to the tariffs with the permitted free baggage allowance for everyone other than zero pieces, when they check in together (family members, persons traveling together or going on a business trip).


2. The supporting documents are:
for the following family members together (spouses, children (including adopted), parents (including foster), grandparents, grandchildren)

—  marriage certificate;
—  birth certificates;
—  documents confirming adoption;
—  other documents confirming the status of the family.
for persons traveling together with a single purpose of travel or going on a business trip, subject to the mandatory condition of a single booking

—  vouchers, term papers, travel vouchers;
—  a business trip order, a business trip certificate, an official assignment;
—  booking a joint stay in a hotel;
—  other documents confirming the joint following.

Terms for the provision of services for the transportation of sports equipment during the ski season (from November 01 to May 10)

Ski and snowboard equipment/ 1 piece/ up to 15 kg/ dimensions are not taken into account:

• The set of ski equipment includes: 1 pair of skis, 1 pair of poles and additional equipment (1 helmet, glasses, special clothing), packed in one case;
• The set of snowboard equipment includes: 1 snowboard and additional equipment (1 helmet, glasses, special clothing), packed in one case.

Ski and snowboard boots/ 1st place/ up to 5 kg/ dimensions are not taken into account:

• 1 pair of shoes.

Restrictions on additional services:

• Voluntary refund of unused service is allowed;
• In case of voluntary return of unused service less than 4 hours before flight departure:

        1. Voluntary refund is allowed only at the same time as the return / exchange of the ticket;
        2. Without refund / exchange of the ticket, the refund of the cost of the service is made only the claim         procedure.
