Pets transportation
Transportation of pets (birds), guide dogs and service dogs on airline flights is carried out only:
- With the confirmed consent of the Airline;
- In economy class;
- Accompanied by an adult passenger.

Maximum weight with carrying
Up to 8 kg
As an exception, it is allowed to transport up to three kittens or puppies aged from 8 weeks to 6 months in one container (cage), if the weight of the container with animals does not exceed 8 kg and with payment according to the tariff for one animal. One passenger is allowed to carry only 1 container.

For transportation in the passenger cabin and baggage compartment of the aircraft are not accepted:
- Arthropods (insects, arachnids, crustaceans)
- Reptiles (turtle, iguana, gecko, chameleon, snake, lizard, frog, etc.)
- Rodents (guinea pig, rat, chinchilla, chipmunk, squirrel, gerbil, dormouse, groundhog, gopher, jerboa, etc.)
- Fish and fish-planting material, marine and river animals requiring transportation in water
- Animals and birds that are not domesticated (taken from the wild), large predators that are representatives of wild fauna in a state of natural freedom in their habitat, such as bears, large primates (gibbons, orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, etc.), wild cats such as caracal, serval, ocelot, reed cat, angler cat, Far Eastern forest cat, manul, Andean cat, Chilean cat, etc., large predators of the feline family: snow leopard, jaguar, lion, tiger, panther, lynx, cougar
- Sick and experimental animals/birds
- Animals whose weight together with the container exceeds 50 kg
Pets (birds) and service dogs can be transported as checked baggage, if there is a technical possibility of the baggage and cargo compartments of the aircraft.
In one passenger section, it is allowed to carry no more than two pets, service dogs, guide dogs, and no more than four on the entire flight. In total, it is permissible to accept four non-antagonistic animals for transportation, or no more than two antagonistic ones.
Pets (birds) and service dogs, except for cases when service dogs are transported in the cabin of an aircraft during transportation by air, must be placed in a strong container (cage) that provides the necessary amenities during transportation, with air access and a reliable lock (lock). The bottom of the container (cage) must be dense, waterproof and covered with absorbent material. The container (cage) must exclude spillage of absorbent material. The bird cage should be covered with a dense light-tight fabric.
During the flight, a container, a special carrier bag or a cage with a pet (bird) in the cabin of the aircraft should be placed under the seat in front of the seat.
An animal transported by air must be inside a closed container, a special carrier bag or cage for the entire duration of its stay on board the aircraft (during flight, during taxiing, boarding / disembarking, etc.).
The owner of an animal or bird is responsible for compliance with the legislation of the country to, from or through the territory of which the transportation is carried out.
The passenger is obliged to inform the airline or its agent about the carriage of pets (birds), a guide dog, a service dog when booking a carriage or purchasing a passenger ticket, but not later than 24 hours before the departure time of the flight.
The passenger has the right to pay for the animal transportation service at any time after confirmation by the airline.
When transporting an animal, the passenger must contact the check-in desk at the airport at least 2 hours before departure to pay for the service and undergo veterinary control.
If for some reason the service is not paid for 2 hours before departure, the service will be canceled. In this case, the passenger must contact the representative of the airline, who has the right to make a decision on the transportation of the animal. The possibility of charging for the service will remain until the departure of the flight.
The airline may refuse to transport a passenger with an animal if the transportation of the animal has not been booked, confirmed and paid for.
At check-in, the passenger is obliged to provide all the necessary documents provided for by international treaties and laws of the countries to, from or through the territory of which the transportation is carried out.
To transport an animal by air, a veterinary passport is required.
In the absence of a veterinary passport, a veterinary certificate, veterinary certificate or other document issued by a licensed specialist of a state veterinary institution may be presented, with a note confirming the animal's health made no later than 14 days before the departure date.
The veterinary passport of pet must specify:
- A mark about the vaccination of pet. Mandatory requirement: the presence of a valid vaccination against rabies;
- A note about the clinical examination of the animal by a state veterinarian. The mark must be made no earlier than 14 days before the start of the trip.
A pet that does not have a valid rabies vaccination is not allowed to be transported. Rabies vaccination must be done at least 20 days before the date of departure / entry, if the animal has not been vaccinated within the last 12 months.
In some countries, the terms may vary, the rules must be clarified at the consulate of a particular country when applying for a visa.
Feeding of pets (birds), guide dogs / service dogs during check-in and flight is PROHIBITED.
If the animal behaves aggressively and there is a threat to the health and safety of other people or serious violations in passenger service on board the aircraft, the Airline may refuse to transport the animal.
If antagonistic animals (dog – cat, dog – hedgehog, cat – bird) are accepted for transportation in the passenger cabin, then they must be placed in different salons.
The weight of a pet (bird), a service dog, the weight of a container (cage) and food intended for feeding an animal (bird) is not included in the free baggage allowance and is paid by the passenger as an additional piece of baggage according to the baggage allowance established by the Airline fares regardless of the passenger's other belongings carried as baggage.
Pets (birds) are accepted for transportation provided that the passenger assumes full responsibility for them. The Airline is not responsible for injuries, diseases or death of such animals and birds, as well as in case of refusal to import or transport them through any country or territory.
For a number of states, there are special rules for the import of pets. We recommend that you consult the embassy or consulate of the country of departure / transit / arrival in advance to clarify the rules for the export / transit / import of animals and birds.
Please note that in the case when the registration of veterinary accompanying documents is required in the language of the importing country, veterinary certificates must also be issued in a language understandable to the veterinary certifier. Such requirements, for example, are established by the legislation of the European Union. As a rule, information about the veterinary requirements of destination countries is available in the representative offices of foreign states, including on their official websites on the Internet.
Passengers with pets are not provided with seats in the first row after the rigid partition and at the kitchens. Passengers with animals are placed at the porthole, so that the container (cage) does not interfere with the evacuation of other passengers. It is allowed to provide a seat on the central block of seats, provided that the container (cage) does not block the exit to the longitudinal passage for passengers sitting on this block of seats:
- with the configuration of two chairs – any seat;
- with configuration three seats – one middle seat;
- with the configuration of four seats – two medium seats.
Passengers, family members carrying 2 containers (cages) with animals, adjacent seats are provided only on the central block of seats, provided that the transportation of animals is requested in one booking.
Guide dogs accompanying visually impaired passengers are transported in the cabin of the aircraft without a container, in agreement with the airline. There is no charge for their transportation.
For guide dogs and service dogs, in addition to standard documents, the following documents are also required:
- document confirming the passenger's disability;
- a document confirming that the passenger accompanying the service dog is an employee of the canine service;
- a document confirming the special training of a guide dog or a service dog.
A guide dog, a service dog must have a collar and muzzle and be tied to a chair at the feet of the passenger she is accompanying.
Boarding the passenger's aircraft accompanied by a guide dog is carried out before the general boarding of passengers. Disembarkation of passengers is carried out after the exit of other passengers.
Passengers accompanied by a guide dog, an assistant dog or carrying a service dog, seats are provided only at the window plane.
The dog should not interfere with the implementation of standard maintenance procedures, be placed in the passenger seat area of other passengers, threaten the sanitary and hygienic condition of the passenger compartment: to satisfy natural needs on board, to be placed on the passenger seat.
It is allowed, if the passenger compartment is not fully loaded, to place a passenger accompanied by a guide dog in the aisle seats. At the same time, the adjacent chair / chairs should remain unoccupied. In this case, the guide dog is placed on the floor of the salon in the area of unoccupied seats.
The number of guide dogs carried in the cabin of the aircraft is determined depending on the number of disabled people and other persons with disabilities on board in accordance with the rules of the Airline.
Passengers accompanied by a guide dog, an assistant dog or carrying a service dog, seats are provided only at the porthole / at the side of the fuselage. It is allowed, if the passenger compartment is not fully loaded, to place a passenger accompanied by a guide dog in the aisle seats. At the same time, the adjacent chair / chairs should remain unoccupied. In this case, the guide dog is placed on the floor of the salon in the area of unoccupied seats.
Pets (birds) and service dogs are accepted for transportation as baggage. Transportation is carried out in the baggage and cargo compartment of the aircraft, in which an acceptable temperature is maintained.
Pets (birds) and service dogs, when transported by air transport must be placed in a strong container (cage) that provides the necessary convenience during transportation, with air access and a reliable lock (lock). The dimensions of the container (cage) should allow the animal to stand up to its full height, turn around. The bottom of the container (cage) must be dense, waterproof and covered with absorbent material. The container (cage) must exclude spillage of absorbent material. The bird cage should be covered with a dense light-tight fabric.
No more than two adult pets can be placed in one container (cage), if the weight of each does not exceed 14 kg, and they get along together. Larger pets should be transported in separate containers (cages).
The weight of the pet, taking into account the weight of the container (cage), should not exceed 50 kg.
The dimensions of the container (cage) should not exceed the dimensions of the openings of the baggage and cargo compartments.
The cost of transportation is indicated based on the 1st animal together with the cage / carrier. The maximum weight of the animal together with the carrier is 8 kg, the maximum carrying dimensions are 60 × 35 × 20 cm.
