Transportation documents
The transport documents are:
- when transporting a passenger and baggage – a ticket and a baggage receipt;
- receipt for payment of excess baggage, various fees and payments for services provided related to the performance of the air carriage contract (EMD/MSO).
A separate ticket is issued for each passenger, the ticket can be issued in electronic form.
When registering in electronic form (electronic transportation document): ticket, baggage receipt or other documents used to provide services for the air transportation of passengers and baggage – information about the terms of the contract of a specific air transportation is placed in the automated information system for air transportation registration. In the case of registration of an electronic transportation document for the passenger's air transportation, the passenger has the right to demand, and the Carrier or a person acting on the basis of an agreement with the Carrier, when concluding an air transportation contract or passenger registration, must issue a certified extract containing the terms of the relevant air transportation contract from the automated information system for air transportation registration.
The passenger can receive the itinerary receipt of the electronic ticket directly at the point of sale of transportation of Armenian Airlines LLC and/or its authorized agent, or choose the delivery method agreed with Armenian Airlines LLC or with an authorized agent.
The passenger's name and surname (in full), the number of the passenger's identity document, flight number, destination, date and time of departure, free baggage allowance must be indicated on the passenger ticket.
The ticket is issued to the passenger only after payment of the cost of transportation according to the tariff set by the carrier.
If the passenger intends to present at check-in a different identity document than the one on the basis of which the ticket was issued, the passenger must contact the carrier or an authorized agent in advance before check-in to make changes to the ticket and to the automated booking system regarding the identity document, and the carrier or an authorized agent is obliged to take actions to make these changes.
At the request of the passenger, changes in the passenger ticket concerning the terms of the air carriage agreement are allowed with the consent of Armenian Airlines LLC and are carried out by Armenian Airlines LLC or its authorized agent, in accordance with the rules for the application of tariffs of Armenian Airlines LLC and during the validity period of such an air ticket.
If the passenger has a ticket in electronic form, information about the number of pieces and/or the weight of baggage, except for the items specified in the item of the rules , they are entered electronically into the automated system of passenger registration and baggage clearance.
The passenger is allowed to be transported if there is a ticket issued properly.
Armenian Airlines LLC has the right to invalidate the ticket if:
- the ticket presented by the passenger was purchased from a person who is not an authorized agent of Armenian Airlines LLC;
- it is established that the passenger air transportation contract has not been concluded;
- Armenian Airlines LLC or an authorized agent notified the passenger in writing that they could not transport him on their flights after a certain date.
If the ticket was declared lost by the passenger, or incorrectly issued, or damaged, then Armenian Airlines LLC will immediately take all measures depending on it to establish the fact of concluding an air carriage contract for the passenger.
Armenian Airlines LLC undertakes to make all possible reasonable efforts to clarify the fact of the conclusion of the contract of carriage, however, it is not responsible if such a fact cannot be established due to the failure of interline partners (if applicable) and/or authorized agents to provide the necessary information. If the fact the conclusion of the contract of carriage will be established after the end of boarding, Armenian Airlines LLC will provide this passenger with transportation along the route of imperfect transportation on the next flight, on which there is an empty seat and a carrying capacity in the same class of service that corresponds to the paid fare, in accordance with the rules of the applied tariff.
The receipt for payment of excess baggage and/or the order of various fees lost by the passenger will not be restored, duplicates will not be issued.The ticket is not transferable and cannot be used by another person. In case of presentation of the ticket by a person not specified in the ticket, LLC "Armenian Airlines" has the right to withdraw the ticket, while not returning its cost to the bearer. In case of withdrawal of the ticket by the carrier , an act is drawn up indicating the reasons.
A passenger whose surname and the details of the identity document match the data specified at the time of booking is allowed to fly.
A ticket for the flight of Armenian Airlines LLC is issued only with the indication of the data of the passenger's identity document:
- passport of a citizen of the Republic of Armenia (for international flights, a note on the validity period in foreign countries is required);
- diplomatic passport;
- special/service passport;
- temporary identity card of the Republic of Armenia;
- certificate of a stateless person issued by the Republic of Armenia;
- identification card of the Republic of Armenia;
- permanent residence card in the territory of the Republic of Armenia;
- temporary residence card in the territory of the Republic of Armenia;
- national passport of a foreign citizen;
- birth certificate for citizens of the Republic of Armenia under 16 years of age;
- temporary identity card of the Republic of Armenia;
- temporary certificate of asylum in the territory of the Republic of Armenia;
- certificate of return to the country of which the passenger is a citizen;
- military ID of the Republic of Armenia;
- convention travel document;
- a travel document issued by a foreign state.
When traveling outside the Republic of Armenia, the passenger must provide documents established by the rules of crossing the border of the country of departure/entry.
In order to establish identity, when checking in for a flight, the passenger must present an identity document, the details of which are indicated when booking, and also have a ticket with him (in case of registration of transportation on a paper form) or, in case of registration of an electronic ticket, the passenger is recommended to have an itinerary receipt with him. Passenger registration and baggage clearance is carried out on the basis of the ticket and the identity document of the passenger on which the ticket was issued, as well as other documents provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, if necessary.
The passenger is responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, visas, permits, etc., as well as for compliance with all applicable laws on departure, entry and transit of the country of departure, arrival and transit. Armenian Airlines LLC is not liable to the passenger if the passenger does not receive such documents or visas, or does not comply with the requirements of applicable laws.
At the request of Armenian Airlines LLC, the passenger is obliged to present all documents for departure, entry, transit, health status, and other documents required by applicable legislation, as well as to allow Armenian Airlines LLC to keep copies of any documents if Armenian Airlines LLC considers it necessary.
A ticket paid for at a tariff that does not restrict the terms of sale and use (hereinafter referred to as the normal tariff) certifies the obligation of Armenian Airlines LLC to transport a passenger and his baggage for one year, counting from the date of commencement of transportation, and if transportation has not begun – from the date of ticket issuance.
A ticket paid at a special fare certifies the obligation of Armenian Airlines LLC to transport a passenger and his baggage within the time limits established by the contract.
The ticket may be accepted for exchange or refund in accordance with the rules of application of the carrier's tariffs and during the validity period of such a ticket.
Each ticket is valid for the carriage of a passenger between the points indicated in it according to the corresponding class of service. If the ticket is issued with an open date of return departure, the booking of a passenger seat on board the aircraft on the stated date of departure is made subject to availability of seats in this booking class within the expiration date of the passenger ticket.
If the passenger was unable to complete the flight that began during the validity period of the ticket due to his illness or the illness of a family member traveling with him on the aircraft, the passenger has the right to apply to the carrier with a request for a corresponding change in the validity period of the contract of carriage, and the carrier, acting in accordance with the provisions of these Rules of Armenian Airlines LLC and The Law of the Republic of Armenia "On Aviation" will extend the validity of the contract of carriage, taking into account the content of the medical documents provided by the passenger.
If a passenger who has a ticket with an open departure date applies for booking a carriage, and Armenian Airlines LLC is unable to provide a passenger seat and carrying capacity during the validity period of the ticket, then Armenian Airlines LLC or an authorized agent must make a reservation for the next flight on which there is a free passenger seat and the carrying capacity of the class of service that corresponds to the paid class of service.
